Ingredients:

– 1 packet Masterfoods Garlic Herb Base

– 1 onion ?

– 1/2 cup water

– 1 carrot ?

– 3/4 cup beef broth

Recipe:

6 overripe tomatoes (diced)

1 onion (diced)

3 cloves garlic, crushed

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)

2 tablespoons concentrated tomato sauce

2 fresh Basil leaves

A little dried oregano

Simmer for 8 hours

Absolutely delicious, if you’re not a fan of sweets you can use less or no sugar.

Method:

Pan-Seared Pork Shank – although that’s not necessary is. Place the roughly

chopped onion and carrot in the bottom of the slow cooker with the liquid.Cook on

low heat for 4 hours and then on high heat for 2 hours. Place the shanks in the oven

to brown over high heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Add

sauce to the remaining liquid to thicken it!

Served with Mashed Potatoes!
