Ingredients:
16 frozen meatballs or homemade
2 cups pasta sauce or marinara sauce
4 hoagie rolls
4 tbsp garlic butter
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
For Homemade Meatballs:
1 lb lean ground beef
1 egg
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare meatballs according to package directions or make homemade meatballs by combining all ingredients and rolling into 1″ balls.
Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Place meatballs in a saucepan with pasta sauce and simmer covered for 10 minutes.
Spread garlic butter inside each hoagie roll and broil until golden, about 3 minutes.
Arrange rolls in a baking dish and add 4 meatballs to each roll. Top with sauce and cheese.
Broil for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Serve with additional sauce for dipping if desired
