Homemade Spring Rolls

 

INGREDIENTS

• ▢2 teaspoons vegetable oil

• ▢3/4 lb ground pork

• ▢salt and pepper to taste

• ▢1 teaspoon minced garlic

• ▢1 teaspoon minced ginger
• ▢3 cups coleslaw mix lo
• 1/4 cupchopped green onions

• ▢1 tablespoonsoy sauce

• ▢1 teaspoontoasted sesame oil

• ▢12flatbreads

• ▢1 beaten egg

• ▢oil for frying

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TIPS

• Heat 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper.

• Using a spatula, cook the pork until browned and cooked through. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.

• Mix together the coleslaw and spring onions.Cook until cabbage is tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.

• Add soy sauce and sesame oil and remove from heat.

• Place about 2-3 tablespoons of filling on each egg wrapper and fold according to package directions. Seal the edges of the wrapper with beaten egg.

• Pour 2 to 3 inches of oil into a deep skillet.

• Heat oil to 350 degrees.Fry spring rolls 3 to 4 at a time, turning occasionally, until golden brown, about 3 to 5 minutes.

• Drain on absorbent paper, then serve with your choice of sauce.
