These are so divine I love how quick they are to prepare

 

 

 


Ingredients
:

 

 

8 large eggs
1/2 cup cream
1 cup freshly grated Gruyere cheese
6 strips bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
Salt and pepper to taste
Non-stick cooking spray or butter for greasing
Fresh chives, finely chopped for Decorating (optional

 

 

 

PREPARATION:

 

 

Preheat your oven to 190°C and prepare a muffin tin with a thin layer of non-stick spray. or butter.

 

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and cream until smooth.
Carefully fold in the crumbled bacon and Gruyère cheese and season with salt and pepper.

 

Pour the mixture into the muffin cups, filling them to just below the rim.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.Allow the egg bites to cool briefly before removing them with the help of a knife and placing them on a warm plate.

 

 

Variations and tips:
Without Gruyère? Sharp cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese are great substitutes.
For a vegetarian twist, add chopped spinach or diced peppers.
