creamy turkey and green bean rice

 

Ingredients:

– 1 cup uncooked white rice
– 500g turkey, cut into pieces
– 250g fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into pieces
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– Salt and black pepper, to taste
– Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, set aside and keep warm.

2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until tender and lightly golden.

3. Add the turkey pieces to the skillet and cook until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.

4. Once the turkey is cooked, add the green beans to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

5. Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and simmer for a few minutes.

6. Add the heavy cream to the skillet and stir to combine all the ingredients. Simmer over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.

7. Season the turkey and green bean mixture with salt and pepper to taste.

8. Once the sauce has thickened, remove the skillet from the heat.

9. Serve the creamy turkey and green beans over the cooked warm rice.

10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
