I’m sharing this coconut flan recipe with you! If you are a fan of coconut and flan, this dessert is for you. Preparing a flan may seem difficult, but with this easy and practical recipe you will be able to have your coconut flan in very little time.

 

Ingredients

 

1 liter of milk
2 cups sugar
2 pinches of baking soda
2 cups sugar
Sufficient water
1 ½ cups unsweetened condensed milk
1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk
5 eggs
2 cups cream cheese
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 ½ cups grated coconut

Preparation:

 

 

 

Condensed milk:

 

 

In a saucepan, pour the milk and heat over medium heat until hot.
Dissolve the sugar and cook for 45 minutes or until thickened.
Reduce the heat and add the baking soda. Mix well.
Remove from heat and let rest.
Store in a glass jar and refrigerate.
The flan:

In a pan, melt the sugar and mix with a wooden spoon.
When the sugar turns an amber color, add enough water to dissolve the caramel. Mix well until you obtain a syrup.
In a baking dish, distribute the syrup at the bottom. Book.
In a blender, combine unsweetened condensed milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, cream cheese and vanilla. Pour the mixture into a bowl, add the
coconut and mix.
Pour the mixture over the syrup and place in the oven in a bain-marie at 350°F (180°C) for 45 minutes or until the flan is set.
Remove from the oven and let cool. Place a plate on the dish and turn it over to unmold the flan.
