
Ingredients
๐ For the Banana Bread:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ยฝ teaspoon salt
- ยฝ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ยพ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 medium ripe bananas, mashed

๐ฝ Instructions
๐น 1. Prepare the Oven & Pan
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Grease a 9ร5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
๐น 2. Make the Banana Bread Batter
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt (and cinnamon if using).
- In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- Stir in mashed bananas and sour cream/yogurt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix gently โ do not overmix.
๐น 3. Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a clean bowl, beat:
- cream cheese
- sugar
- egg
- vanilla
until smooth and creamy.
๐น 4. Layer & Assemble
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan.
- Gently spread the cheesecake filling evenly over it.
- Pour the remaining banana bread batter on top.
- (Optional) Lay a banana half on top for decoration.
๐น 5. Bake
- Bake for 60โ75 minutes, depending on your oven.
- Loaf is ready when:
- a toothpick inserted into the banana bread portion (not the cheesecake part) comes out clean.
- the top is golden and set.
โ ๏ธ If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil during the last 20 minutes.
๐น 6. Cool Completely
- Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack and cool for at least 1 hour before slicing.
(This helps the cheesecake layer firm up.)
