Slow Cooker Barbequed Beef Ribs

I bought pork ribs and was prepping them for the slow cooker in the morning when I realized I didn’t have any BBQ sauce. I had never made homemade Barbequed sauce before, I chose this one because I had all the ingredients on hand. It was very good!I doubled the recipe…and added a teaspoon of cayenne pepper for a little spice and sweetness. I would do what another sign said and forego the water. It was too runny for me, I like a thicker sauce. Oh, I also added some honey. There’s nothing too sweet In fact, next time I would add more brown sugar and honey along with the cayenne pepper. This is a great basic Barbequed sauce that you can modify however you like! I also grilled the ribs first like I always do. And I put a large onion in the pot. I simmered it for 7 hours and it was delicious
This recipe turned out great. I seasoned the ribs with salt and pepper, then seared them on all sides before adding them to the slow cooker. Searing created a nice caramelized crust on the outside of the ribs. I cooked them on low for 7 hours. Since there was some grease, I simply vacuumed it up from the top with tongs and a paper towel.Great!”
