How to Make Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls

Start by combining lukewarm water, instant yeast, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir in milk, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 1 cup of flour. Beat until the mixture is smooth. Gradually add more flour to form a dough. Knead until the dough is smooth.
Allow the dough to rest for 5 minutes while you prepare the filling.
Beat the softened cream cheese until it’s soft and fluffy. Add 3/4 cup of powdered sugar and continue beating until the mixture is smooth. Reserve about 1/3 cup of this topping.
In another small bowl, mix the strawberry jam and finely diced strawberries.
Roll out the dough on a greased surface into a rectangle approximately 10×15 inches. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough, followed by the berry mixture. Roll up the dough and pinch the edge to seal it.
Cut the rolled dough into 12 slices and place them in a well-greased 9×13-inch pan. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
For the icing, combine 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, milk, and a touch of vanilla with the reserved cream cheese mixture. Beat until you have a thin glaze, adjusting the milk as needed. Place the glaze in a ziplock bag in the fridge.
Chill the rolls in the refrigerator for 8 to 10 hours or overnight.
Remove the rolls and the bag of frosting from the refrigerator. Place the rolls in a warm spot and let them rise until doubled in size, which will take about an hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 30-35 minutes, or until they are set in the middle. You may need to cover them with foil if they start browning too much.
Cut a corner in the ziplock bag and glaze the rolls while they are still warm. Enjoy!
