Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup butter
– 1 cup sugar
– 2 eggs, beaten
– 4 crushed ripe bananas
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
– Optional: chocolate chips and maraschino cherries

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan, or prepare mini loaf pans if making smaller loaves.

2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add the beaten eggs and crushed bananas to the creamed mixture. Mix well.

4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.

6. Stir in the vanilla extract and nuts. If desired, gently fold in chocolate chips and chopped maraschino cherries.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan(s), spreading it evenly.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour for a standard loaf, or 35 to 45 minutes for mini loaves. The bread is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.

10. After cooling slightly, transfer the banana bread from the pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

11. Slice and serve your delicious banana bread, either warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!

1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and bananas. Sift together dry ingredients then add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for about 1 hour
Or 35 to 45 minutes for 4 mini loaves
