Pepper Steak Stir-Fry

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 bell peppers, sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, beef broth, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Slice the beef into thin strips and set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining oil to the skillet.

Cook the onion and bell peppers for about 4 minutes until slightly tender.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture.

Stir well and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.

Serve hot over cooked rice.
