Method
Start with the cream yarn and crochet a long foundation chain.
Work several rounds of crochet stitches around the chain to create a long, narrow strip. Keep the stitches tight and even.
Change to red yarn and crochet along the outer edge, creating a contrasting red border.
Continue increasing gradually along one side so the strip naturally curves and forms a spiral shape.
Repeat the red and cream color pattern throughout the strip.
Once the desired length is reached, secure and weave in the ends.
Pass a strong red cord vertically through the center of the spiral. Attach the cord firmly at the top and bottom to keep the spiral shape.
Add a small crocheted flower or decorative element at the top if desired.
Finishing
Gently shape the crochet spiral by hand and adjust each curve evenly. Hang it vertically as a Christmas decoration, home ornament, or festive crochet decoration.
