Snowflake Motif
Round 1
Make a magic ring.
Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet).
Work 11 double crochet into the ring.
Join with a slip stitch.
(12 stitches)
Round 2
Chain 5.
Skip one stitch.
Single crochet into the next stitch.
Repeat around to create 6 chain spaces.
Slip stitch to join.
Round 3
In each chain space work:
Single crochet
Half double crochet
3 Double crochet
Half double crochet
Single crochet
Repeat around.
Round 4
Slip stitch to the tip of each point.
Chain 5.
Picot (chain 3, slip stitch into first chain).
Chain 5.
Slip stitch back into the same point.
Repeat around to create six decorative snowflake arms.
Fasten off.
Joining the Motifs
Arrange the snowflakes in a staggered layout.
Overlap neighboring points slightly.
Join using:
- Slip stitches, or
- Whip stitch with matching yarn.
Alternate the colors evenly throughout the runner, placing ivory motifs as highlights similar to the photo.
Border
No additional border is required.

Finishing
