1. Crochet Spiral Circles
Make alternating dark teal and sage green circles.
- Round 1: Make a magic ring with 12 DC.
- Round 2: Work 2 DC in each stitch (24).
- Round 3: Repeat (1 DC, 2 DC in next stitch).
- Round 4: Repeat (2 DC, increase).
- Continue increasing evenly until each circle measures approximately 12–14 cm.
- Work a final round of SC in BLO to create a raised spiral texture.
Make 6 dark teal circles and 6 sage green circles for a long runner.
2. Ivory Lace Waves
- CH 45–55 to create a curved foundation.
- Work DC along the chain.
- Increase on the outer edge to create a gentle curved shape.
- Create open lace sections using (DC, CH 3, skip 3 stitches).
- Repeat the lace pattern while shaping an S-curve.
- Finish the outer edges with small picots: (CH 3, SL ST).
Make enough ivory sections to connect the colored circles in a continuous flowing pattern.
3. 3D Pink Crochet Flowers
- Magic ring, 10 SC.
- Make 5 small petals using (SL ST, CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2, SL ST).
- Behind the first petals, create chain loops.
- Work 5 larger petals using 5 DC in each loop.
- Repeat with 7 DC per petal for the outer layer.
- Curl the petals slightly and secure the center.
Make 6–7 dusty pink flowers.
4. Green Leaves
- CH 12.
- Work SC, HDC, 7 DC, HDC, SC.
- Repeat on the opposite side of the chain.
- Add a central raised vein using surface slip stitches.
- Make 5–6 leaves per flower.
5. Assembly
Arrange the teal and sage circles alternately on both sides of the ivory S-shaped lace. Join the sections with a yarn needle, place the pink flowers over the central joining points, and sew the green leaves underneath.
Lightly block the completed runner to flatten the lace while preserving the raised flowers.
Estimated finished size: 35 × 150 cm, depending on yarn, tension and number of motifs.
Result: An elegant handmade crochet table runner with textured spiral circles, flowing ivory lace and dimensional pink roses, inspired by the reference image.
