Ingredients
1½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breast or chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour or panko breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra crispiness)
Olive oil spray
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk until well combined.
In another bowl, mix the flour or panko with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, and Parmesan cheese if using.
Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the seasoned flour or breadcrumb mixture.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
Arrange the chicken bites in a single layer in the basket, leaving space between pieces.
Spray the tops lightly with olive oil.
Air fry for 8 minutes, then flip the bites and spray lightly again.
Continue air frying for another 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Optional Dipping Sauces
Honey mustard
Garlic aioli
Buffalo sauce
Ranch dressing
Tips
Do not overcrowd the basket for maximum crispiness.
For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of flour.
These bites can be made with shrimp, tofu, or cauliflower using the same method.
Perfect for snacks, appetizers, or quick dinners.
