Deep Clean Greasy Kitchen Cabinets

Ingredients
- 2 cups warm water
- 1–2 tablespoons Dawn dish soap (excellent for grease)
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar (optional, for extra degreasing)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (optional, for heavy grime)
- Microfiber cloths or soft rags
- Scrub sponge (non-abrasive)
- Rubber gloves
- Dry towel
Mixing Instructions
- In a bowl or spray bottle, add warm water.
- Mix in Dawn dish soap gently (don’t over-foam).
- Add vinegar if cabinets are very greasy.
- For sticky buildup, sprinkle in baking soda and stir lightly.
Cleaning Method
- Dust First
Wipe cabinets with a dry cloth to remove loose dust. - Wash
- Dip cloth or sponge into the solution.
- Wring until damp (not dripping).
- Wipe cabinets top to bottom, following the wood grain.
- Heavy Grease Areas
- Apply solution directly.
- Let sit 2–3 minutes.
- Gently scrub with sponge.
- Rinse
- Use a clean cloth with plain warm water.
- Remove any soap residue.
- Dry & Shine
- Dry immediately with a towel.
- Optional: buff lightly for shine.
Optional Finish (Wood Cabinets Only)
- Mix 1 teaspoon olive oil + 1 teaspoon vinegar
- Lightly buff for natural shine and protection
Tips
- Always spot test first
- Avoid soaking wood
- Don’t use abrasive pads
- Wear gloves (like in the image!) to protect skin
