Pistachio Shell Tea

Important First
- Use UNSALTED pistachio shells ONLY
- If shells were salted, do NOT use for drinking
- Always wash and boil well
Ingredients (Large Batch)
- 2–3 cups pistachio shells (empty shells only)
- 8–10 cups water
- Optional (for taste & benefits):
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp ginger (fresh or dried)
- 1 tsp honey or sugar (after boiling)
- 1 slice lemon (after boiling)
Step 1: Clean the Shells
- Rinse shells thoroughly under running water.
- Boil shells in plain water for 10 minutes.
- Drain and rinse again.
(This removes dust, oils, and impurities.)
Step 2: Make the Tea
- Add cleaned shells to a large pot.
- Pour in 8–10 cups fresh water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 30–40 minutes.
- Water will turn light brown.
- Strain the liquid.
Step 3: Flavor (Optional)
- Add honey or sugar to taste
- Add cinnamon or ginger for warmth
- Lemon only after cooling slightly
How to Drink
- Drink 1 small cup (½–1 cup) per day
- Best taken warm
- Do not exceed 1 cup daily
