You now have six petals.

Second petal layer

Working behind the first petals:

CH 5 and anchor with SL ST behind the next petal. Repeat six times.

Into each CH-5 loop work:

SC, HDC, 5 DC, HDC, SC.

This creates larger petals behind the first layer.

Third petal layer (optional)

Create six CH-6 loops behind the second layer.

Into each loop work:

SC, HDC, 7 DC, HDC, SC.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Make approximately 18–24 flowers for a full curtain.

Part 7: Attach Flowers to the Vines

Arrange the flowers at different heights along the green vines.

Alternate royal-blue, light-blue, and cream flowers to create a balanced design.

Sew each flower securely to the vine.

Position leaves above and below each flower.

For a natural hanging effect, leave some sections of vine with leaves only.

Part 8: Bottom Corner Lace Panels

Make two small blue lace panels for the lower left and right corners.

Row 1: CH 41, DC across.

Row 2: CH 3, DC across.

Row 3: CH 5, skip 3 stitches, SC in next. Repeat.

CH 20.

SL ST into the first chain to form a loop.

Work 25 SC around the loop for reinforcement.

Fasten off.

Make 10–12 loops.

Sew evenly along the top of the valance.

Slide the loops onto a wooden curtain rod.

Part 10: Finishing

Gently hand wash the finished curtain.

Lay the lace valance flat and pin the diamond motifs into shape.

Lightly block the leaves and flowers to define their edges.

Allow everything to dry completely.

Hang the curtain and adjust the vines so they fall naturally.

Trim any uneven fringe.

Finished Design

The completed curtain features a rich blue lace top, diamond-shaped openwork motifs, a decorative scalloped fringe, long green leafy vines, and dimensional blue-and-cream flowers.

Customization tip: For a wider window, add more diamond motifs and hanging vines. For a shorter curtain, reduce the foundation chains used for each green vine.

The result is an elegant handmade floral window decoration suitable for bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, or cottage-style interiors.
