Head and Snout
Work in dark green.
Round 1: 6 SC into a MR.
Round 2: INC around — 12 SC.
Round 3: (SC, INC) around — 18 SC.

Rounds 5–8: SC around.
Round 9: (3 SC, INC) around — 30 SC.
Rounds 10–13: SC around.

For the snout, crochet a small oval separately using green yarn. Work several rounds of SC around an initial chain, increasing at both ends to maintain an oval shape. Sew it securely to the front of the head.
Eyes
Attach safety eyes on both sides of the upper snout area.
For the expressive eye surrounds, crochet small raised pieces around each eye using green yarn. Sew them carefully around the eyes to create the characteristic dragon expression.
Horns
Make two large horns with black yarn.
Round 1: 6 SC into MR.
Round 2: SC around.
Round 3: (2 SC, INC) around.
Continue working SC while gradually increasing the circumference.
As the horn becomes longer, reduce the increases so it naturally curves.
Stuff lightly as you work. Shape each horn into a curved cone and fasten off.
Sew the two horns securely to the top of the head.
Head Spikes
Using green yarn, crochet several small pointed spikes.
For each spike:
Row 1: Ch 5.
Row 2: SC across.
Row 3: DEC, SC, DEC.
Row 4: DEC twice.
Fasten off and sew the spikes along the top and sides of the head.
Body
Work in dark green.
Round 1: 6 SC into MR.
Round 2: INC around — 12 SC.
Round 3: (SC, INC) around — 18 SC.
Round 4: (2 SC, INC) around — 24 SC.
Round 5: (3 SC, INC) around — 30 SC.
Rounds 6–15: SC around.
Stuff firmly as you go.

Fasten off and close.
Cream Belly
Using cream yarn, crochet an oval belly panel.
Start with a chain and work SC around both sides of the chain.
Increase at both ends during the first few rounds to create a wide oval.
Continue with SC rounds until the panel reaches from the neck to the lower abdomen.
For the raised texture shown in the design, work alternating rows of SC and slightly raised stitches.
Sew the completed belly panel vertically onto the front of the body.
Neck
Crochet a cylindrical neck in green yarn.
Work approximately 20–25 rounds of SC, adjusting the number of rounds according to the desired height.
Stuff firmly and sew the neck between the head and body.
Front Legs
Make two identical green legs.
Round 1: 6 SC into MR.
Round 2: INC around — 12 SC.
Rounds 3–15: SC around.
Stuff lightly.
Shape the lower section slightly wider and sew each leg to the front of the body.
Claws
Using black yarn, crochet several small pointed claws.
Attach approximately 3–4 claws to each foot.
Hind Legs
Make two larger legs.
Round 1: 6 SC into MR.
Round 2: INC around — 12 SC.
Round 3: (SC, INC) around — 18 SC.
Rounds 4–12: SC around.
Stuff firmly and shape into rounded thighs.
Sew securely to the lower sides of the body.
Add black crochet claws to each foot.
Tail
Using green yarn:
Round 1: 6 SC into MR.
Rounds 2–5: SC around.
Increase gradually to create the thicker base.
Continue working SC while gradually decreasing the stitch count every few rounds.
The tail should become progressively thinner toward the tip.
Stuff lightly and shape it into a gentle curve.
Tail Spikes
Make several small black triangular spikes.
Sew them along the upper edge of the tail, starting with the largest spikes near the body and gradually decreasing their size toward the tip.
Wings
Make two identical wings in green and black.
Create a long curved wing frame using green yarn.
For the wing membrane, crochet rows of black stitches between the green structural sections.
Shape the outer edge into several pointed sections to reproduce the dragon-wing silhouette.
Work a green border around the entire wing.
Attach each wing securely to the upper back of the dragon.
Final Assembly
Sew the following pieces together securely:
- Head to neck
- Neck to body
- Front legs to body
- Hind legs to body
- Tail to the back of the body
- Wings to the upper back
- Horns to the head
- Head spikes along the crown
- Black claws to the feet and tail
- Cream belly panel to the front
Shape the wings, tail, horns and legs carefully with your hands.
Finishing
Weave all loose yarn ends inside the dragon and trim the excess.
Adjust the stuffing so the body remains firm and upright.
Finally, gently shape the horns and wings to achieve the characteristic fantasy-dragon silhouette shown in the design.
