Repeat from * to * 3 more times.
Join with a sl st.
You now have 4 corner spaces.

Move into the first corner space.
In each corner work:

Between corners work:

Round 4
Create the 8-point star.
At each corner:

Between points:

Repeat around to form eight sharp star points.

Round 5 (Border)
Using a contrasting color:
Work 1 sc in every stitch.
At each point:

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Bell Attachment
Attach a small metal jingle bell to the center of the ornament using strong thread or yarn.
Attach a second bell to the bottom point if desired.
Hanging Loop
Join yarn to the top point.
Chain 30–40.
Slip stitch into the same point.
Fasten off.
