This original, untested pattern is inspired by the image. It creates a similar angel with a layered lace dress; the exact stitches cannot be determined from the photo alone.

Round 19: Sc around. (66)
Round 20: (10 sc, inc) × 6. (72)
Round 21: Sc around in BLO. (72)
Fasten off. The unused front loops of rounds 8, 14, and 20 are the attachment points for the lace tiers.
3. Scalloped skirt tiers — make directly on the body
Keep the neck pointing upward and work each tier toward the bottom of the dress.
Join blue yarn to an unused front loop of round 8.
Foundation round: Ch 1, sc in the same loop. Repeat (ch 5, skip 5 unused loops, sc in the next loop) around. For the final repeat, join to the first sc instead of making another sc. You will have 6 arches.
Shell round: Sl st into the first arch. Work 9 dc into that arch, then sl st into the next anchor sc. Repeat around: 9 dc in each arch, sl st in each anchor sc. Join and fasten off.
Repeat on:
- Round 14: 9 arches and 9 shells.
- Round 20: 12 arches and 12 shells.
Gently spread the shells with your fingers. These three tiers create the layered silhouette.
4. Wings — ivory, make 2
Ch 4.
Row 1: Work 6 dc into the fourth chain from the hook. The beginning chain counts as one dc. (7)
Row 2: Ch 3, turn; dc in the first stitch, then 2 dc in each remaining stitch. (14)
Row 3: Ch 4, turn; skip 1 stitch, dc in the next stitch. Repeat (ch 1, skip 1 stitch, dc in the next stitch) 5 times. Ch 1, dc in the final stitch. (7 chain spaces)
Row 4: Ch 1, turn. In each chain space, work (sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc).
Here, hdc means half double crochet.
Fasten off with a long tail. Shape each wing into a fan and lightly stiffen if desired. Allow to dry fully before attaching.
5. Base — icy blue
Round 1: 6 sc into a magic ring. (6)
Round 2: Inc around. (12)
Round 3: (Sc, inc) × 6. (18)
Continue increasing evenly by 6 stitches per round until you reach 72 stitches:
Round 4: (2 sc, inc) × 6.
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) × 6.
Continue in this way through round 12: (10 sc, inc) × 6. (72)
Check the disk against the body opening before fastening off. It should sit flat without stretching.
6. Assembly
- Sew the head opening to the 12-stitch neck opening.
- Lightly stuff the body, keeping its cone shape.
- Sew the base to the bottom, matching the 72 stitches. Avoid overstuffing so the bottom stays flat.
- Sew the narrow edges of the wings to the upper back, with the scalloped edges facing outward.
- Tie the blue ribbon around the neck and secure the bow with a few stitches.
- Sew a silver bead to the bow’s center and attach the star charm beneath it.
- String silver beads into a small halo, secure the ends, and stitch it to the crown.
- Secure a hanging cord through several stitches at the top of the head.
- Weave in all ends and arrange the skirt shells evenly.
For decoration only: the beads and charm are small detachable parts.
